From the online press release when Russell White was inducted into the Cal Athletic Hall of Fame last year:

White, Cal's all-time rushing leader with 3,367 yards and a 5.1 yards-per-carry average during his three years in Berkeley, was a key member of Bruce Snyder's 1991 team which posted a 10-2 record, including a 37-13 victory over Clemson in the 1992 Citrus Bowl, and earned a No. 7 national ranking. A first-team All-American in 1991 and two-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection, the 6-0, 210-pound tailback led the Bears in rushing in both 1991 (1,177 yards, school-record 14 TDs) and 1992 (1,069)-figures that still rank second and fifth, respectively, on the school's all-time single season list.

Twice rushing for 200 yards or more in a game during his career-229 vs. USC in 1991 and 216 vs. San Jose State in 1992-he registered 15 100-yard rushing days during his Cal career to tie the legendary Chuck Muncie for the school record. Enrolling at Cal as a Prop 48 student, White graduated in four years with a social welfare degree and 3.0 career GPA. He was drafted in the third round by the Los Angeles Rams in 1993, but only played one NFL season.

And then, quite suspiciously I might add, the subject is changed to another inductee and we are left with the mystery posed in the post below.

What are they trying to hide? What has Mr. White been doing since 1994? I know he made one more shot at the NFL maybe in 95? ok that's still almost a decade unnacounted for.

I'm all for leaving people be as they enjoy their lives outside the spotlight but on the flipside I'm a curious motherfucker.
