L.A. Clippers 110, L.A. Lakers 101

Clippers Rule L.A.

…The Lakers (30-29) dropped one-half game behind the idle Denver Nuggets for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, while the Clippers (27-34) are 4 1/2 back.

This one was important for the defending Western Conference champions as they play their next six and eight of their next nine games on the road. On the trip, the Lakers will meet the likes of Dallas, Denver, Indiana and a visit to Miami to face Shaquille O'Neal….

…Trailing by 11 points in the fourth quarter, the Lakers rallied behind a pair of 3-pointers from Jumaine Jones and one from ex-Clipper Lamar Odom. Odom scored 11 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter before being ejected with 1:47 left for launching the ball into the stands in frustration….

Lakers All-Star Kobe Bryant scored 41 points but only six in the fourth quarter. The Lakers are just 4-4 this season when Bryant scores 40 points.

In other news, it was the first season split between the clips & lakes since 96.

and no, it's not cuz one of those years the clips won 3 out of 4. fooh.

oh yah and elvis is forgiven as apparently dunleavy fired up the troops by tearing them new a-holes after that letdown vs. memphis. werd 2 ossiffer bird.
